I just finished reading “The Incandescent” by Emily Tesh and thoroughly loved it. The setting is a modern wizarding school, but unlike Hogwarts, there’s no “us” versus “them” between magicians and normies. The author pulls on my heart strings as the main character watches students make mistakes, huge successes, and ultimately graduate.
